KonoSuba second season set for January

The official website for KonoSuba revealed today that the upcoming anime will be releasing January 2017.
The series started as a light novel series which began October 1st 2013 and is still ongoing. A manga for it would also be adapted which first released September 9th 2014 and is also currently still continuing. Mind you that both the light novel and manga series are licensed by Yen Press and are releasing in the west. The anime adaption of the series would later begin on January 14th 2016 and will be ended March 17th 2016 with 10 episodes releasing. A plot summary of the series can be seen below quoted from MAL:

Yen Press adds KonoSuba and Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

A confirmation today by Yen press has confirmed the addition of the light novels KonoSuba and Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody. It has been stated by Yen press that they have added both the light novels and manga of each of the series. Mind you that KonoSuba began as a light novel October 1st 2013 and is still ongoing, it would later get its manga adaption September 9th 2014 and is still ongoing as well. The series also received an anime adaption which was done by Studio Deen and is also planned for a second season. For Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody that began its light novel release March 17th 2014 and received its manga November 8th 2014, both are ongoing release. KonoSuba receives second season

Today the staff for the anime adaption for KonoSuba has announced that there is a second season that has been officially confirmed. The series before receiving its first season started out as a light novel series and first began October 1st 2013 and is still ongoing. A manga for it would also be adapted which first released September 9th 2014 and is also currently still continuing. The anime adaption of the series would later begin on January 14th 2016 and will be ending tomorrow, the 17th of March 2016, the series released a total of 10 episodes. Finally a image was posted along with the announcement by original light novel illustrator Kurone Mishima celebrating the news of the announcement.
