Steins;Gate receives PC Steam release in September

Today 5pb. games has announced that they will be releasing the Steins;Gate game on PC viat Steam on September 9th Japan time. The Steam page for the game also reveals a September release date in the following link:http://store.steampowered.com/app/412830/ and has the same video which is region locked and will be shown later in the article. It should be noted that the video is region locked in Australia, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand and the US.

The game which is also set to release on the iOS early September  also released on several other platforms since its original release on the Xbox 360 in 2009, it would later get ports to the PC, PSP, iOS, PS3, PS Vita and Android. The visual novel would also later get a anime with 24 total episodes released for it, that aired between April 6th 2011 and ended September 24th 2011. The series also spawned another game titled Steins;Gate 0 and that released December 10th for the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita in Japan and is also set for a North America and Europe release this year. Following this is a plot summary of the visual novel which can be seen below:

The eccentric mad scientist Okabe, his childhood friend Mayuri, and the otaku hacker Daru have banded together to form the “Future Gadget Research Laboratory,” and spend their days in a ramshackle laboratory hanging out and occasionally attempting to invent incredible futuristic gadgets. However, their claymore is a hydrator and their hair dryer flips breakers, and the only invention that’s even remotely interesting is their Phone Microwave, which transforms bananas into oozing green gel. But when an experiment goes awry, the gang discovers that the Phone Microwave can also send text messages to the past. And what’s more, the words they send can affect the flow of time and have unforeseen, far-reaching consequences—consequences that Okabe may not be able to handle…
