As of recent Warner Bros. Japan released a promotional video for the new OVA series for Strike the Blood, the OVA is titled Strike the Blood II and reveals additional details as well in regards to the upcoming anime and a new key visual which can be seen above. Most of the cast will be the same in the upcoming OVA with the only changes Nao Touyama as Yume Eguchi and Yukiyo Fuji as Kiriha Kisaki who are both new characters that appear in the 9th light novel volume. It is also stated that Kishida Kyoudan & The Aleboshi Rockets will be performing the opening theme song, the band also did the opening theme song for the TV anime. For the ending theme song that will be done by Risa Taneda whom voices Yukina Himeragi.
The OVA series will have four two episode volumes with the first DVD and Blu-ray volume set for a release on November 23rd and, the second December 21st, the third March 29th and the final volume April 26th. Their will be a creditless OP and ED, original story by Mikumo, manga and a booklet containing annotations. The OVA is set to start by depicting the story in the 9th volume of the novel series and for the setting it will take place in Blue Elysium near Itogami island. Mind you that in the recent reveal character draft character designs for Kiriha Kisaki and Yume Eguchi were released whom first appear in the 9th volume.
The series which began as a light novel started on May 10th 2011 and is currently ongoing, there would be an alternative manga version also released June 27th 2012 as well which is currently ongoing. The mangas 8th compiled volume released April 27th and its 9th volume is set for September 27th. Later the series would receive its anime adaption which began October 4th 2013 and end on March 28th 2014 releasing 14 episodes in total. It should be noted that Discotek licensed the anime series in North America on home video. A plot summary for the series can be seen below quoted from MAL:
