Planetarian: Star Person releases new key visual and trailer

Today the official website for the Planetarian ~The Reverie of a Little Planet~ visual novel revealed a new trailer and key visual for the upcoming film titled Planetarian: Star Person. In the recently released video the theme song by Lia titled “Starship” is also shown. Mind you that the film is adapting a side story of the visual novel and will release in theaters on September 3rd 2016, the OVA series which is its prequel released July 7th 2016 and ended August 4th 2016 releasing 5 episodes in total. The series began as a visual novel that first released November 29th 2004 on Windows and would be localized in several languages and on a handful of platforms.


In the movie we have Tamio Ohki as Star Person. Other roles for Tamio include Innocentic VII from Arslen Senki, King Albert from Nichijou and Umatarou from Astro Boy.

Next is the character Revi whim will be voiced by Sanae Fuku. Previous roles for Sanae include ise in High School Fleet and Nene from Koukaku no Pandora.

Yobu is another one of the characters for the upcoming movie and will be voiced by Yoko Hikasa. She has also done voices for Sakura in Code:Breaker, Rias in High School DxD, Mio from K-On! and Stephanie from No Game No Life.

Finally is the character Rutsu who will be voiced by Minami Tsuda whom has also voiced Sensei in Dengeki-gai to Honya-san, Sasara in Fantasista Doll and Yui from Yuru Yuri.

Below is a plot summary of the series quoted from MAL:

It is thirty years after the failure of the Space Colonization Program. Humanity is nearly extinct. A perpetual and deadly Rain falls on the Earth. Men known as “Junkers” plunder goods and artifacts from the ruins of civilization. One such Junker sneaks alone into the most dangerous of all ruins—a “Sarcophagus City.” In the center of this dead city, he discovers a pre-War planetarium. And as he enters he is greeted by Hoshino Yumemi, a companion robot. Without a single shred of doubt, she assumes he is the first customer she’s had in 30 years. She attempts to show him the stars at once, but the planetarium projector is broken. Unable to make heads or tails of her conversation, he ends up agreeing to try and repair the projector…
