At their Kadokawa panel at the Anime Expo, Yen Press has announced that they have added the ERASED and Bungou Stray Dog manga series. Mind you that the Kadokawa’s eBookstore BookWalker started adding Yen Press manga and light novels on July 1st and is set to add more series from both Kadokawa and Square Enix. A statement by Yen Press’ Kurt Hassler at the panel stated that the company hopes to make all of its titles available digitally, however he also stated that “We can’t promise when we’ll meet our goal of 100% digital availability, but we’ll try.” The first volume of the ERASED manga is set for Spring 2017 and release the eight volumes in a two in one omnibus volumes similar to their Emma release. Finally the Bungou Stray Dogs manga will be released by Yen Press in December.
The series began on June 4th 2012 and ended March 4th 2016 releasing 8 volumes in total. The manga was also nominated for the Tezuka Osamu Culture Prize “reader Award” back in 2014 and last years Manga Taisho Awards. There would also be an anime adaption of the manga series which started on January 8th 2016 and finished March 25th 2016 releasing 12 total episodes, a live action film was also released for the series. For the manga series Bungou Stray dogs that released December 4th 2012 and has since then been ongoing. An anime adaption would also be released for the series which started April 7th 2016 followed by ending on June 23rd 2016 releasing 12 episodes. Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage, and now he has no place to go and no food. While he is standing by a river, on the brink of starvation, he rescues a man whimsically attempting suicide. That man is Dazai Osamu, and he and his partner Kunikida are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers, and deal with cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military. They’re tracking down a tiger that has appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi came to the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it is clear that Atsushi’s future will involve much more of Dazai and the rest of the detectives!
