Kizumonogatari II: Passionate Blood releases trailer and additional cast

A new trailer has been released today for the upcoming game Kizumonogatari II: Passionate Blood, the upcoming film is the second of the trilogy. In the video it is officially confirmed that the movie will release August 19th, additional cast with images and voice actors for the film are also announced, both the video and new cast will be featured later in the article. The film series is a trilogy and started with the first film Kizumonogatari I: Blood and Iron which released January 8th in Japan and also released in the west, the second film Passionate Blood and the final film Cold Blood. The film is a prequel to the entirety of the series set before Bakemonogatari and the upcoming movie adapts source material from the Monogatari series first season light novel. The light novel would release 6 volumes between the dates of November 1st 2006 and July 28th 2010 and Vertical released the novel in English this year.


Miyu Irino will be voicing Episode in the film, other roles for Irion include Jin from AnoHana, Hiei from Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha, and Akira from Nazo no Kanojo X: Nazo no Natsu Matsuri.

The character Dramaturgy will be voiced by Masashi Ebara whom has also voiced Junichiro in .hack//Liminality, Sakada in Angel Cop and Ziggurat-8 from Xenosaga The Animation.

Finally is the upcoming character for the movie Guillotine Cutter. He will be voiced by Houchuu Ootsuka that has also notably voiced Number Zero in 009-1, Mirao in Juusenki L-Gaim and Tsukuyomi from Sasami–san@Ganbaranai.
