Gundam the Origin vol.3 Dawn of Rebellion streams first 13 minutes

On the Gundam.info website it has recently posted the first 13 minutes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin’s third episode. There will be two videos in the article with the first being the video in Japanese only, and the other dubbed in English or with Japanese audio with English, Chinese, Korean or French subtitles. The upcoming third episode titles Gundam the Origin vol.3 Dawn of Rebellion is set to release in 15 Japanese theaters for two weeks on May 21st. The episode however will first screen at a special event in Yokohama on May 8th. A limited edition version of the Blu-ray disc will go on sale at the theaters screening on May 21st. The standard Blu-ray disc and DVD will be releasing in Japan June 10th. Now the collectors edition Blu-ray Disc of the episode will cost 10,000 yen with a special illustration by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, illustration sheets, storyboards and setting material collection. Members of the Bandai Visual Club who pre-order the Blu-ray, and those who pre-order it through the Bandai premium store will receive a film frame from the episode, the pre-orders start April 10th. The third volume features Char Aznable and his future comrade Garma Zabi after they join Zeon’s military academy.


Originally the series was a manga series that began June 25th 2001 and ended June 26th 2014 releasing 24 volumes in total. It would later get its OVA series with 4 episodes scheduled for release. The first of these episodes were titled “Blue-Eyed Casval” that premiered in a limited engagement in Japanese theater February 2015. Later the series would release its second episode Artesia’s Sorrow which opened in Japan last October. It should also be noted that Anime Consortium Japan is releasing the series worldwide digitally through a premium rental streaming program. There is also a collaboration of Right Stuf and Sunrise the studio who produces the anime series for releasing the series on home video.
