Back on March 26th at Anime Boston, Dark Horse Comics stated that they would be adding the four-panel Hatsune Miku: Mikubon manga series, they have also confirmed that the manga is set to debut by them on October 5th 2016. Originally the manga series launched in Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Comp Ace in 2012. Later Kadokawa would release the series in a single compiled volume in 2013. The creator of the series “Ontama” mind you consists of producer Otomania and artist Tamago. Those two had also previously wrote another manga titled “Hatsune Miku no Nichijou Roipara!” which was another four-panel manga. That was serialized in Monthly Comp Ace between the dates of February 2008 and October 2011, the duo also created the Hatsune Miku music video “Levan Polkka”. Now below is a plot summary of the manga quoted from ANN and provided by Dark Horse Comics:
Hatsune Miku and her friends Rin, Len, and Luka are not only back in manga…they’re back to school, enrolling at the St. Diva Academy for Vocaloids! They’re going to give it their best at St. Diva, as a wonderland of friendship, determination, and even love unfolds!
