KonoSuba receives second season

Today the staff for the anime adaption for KonoSuba has announced that there is a second season that has been officially confirmed. The series before receiving its first season started out as a light novel series and first began October 1st 2013 and is still ongoing. A manga for it would also be adapted which first released September 9th 2014 and is also currently still continuing. The anime adaption of the series would later begin on January 14th 2016 and will be ending tomorrow, the 17th of March 2016, the series released a total of 10 episodes. Finally a image was posted along with the announcement by original light novel illustrator Kurone Mishima celebrating the news of the announcement.

A plot summary of the series can be seen below quoted from MAL:

Kazuma Satou, a high school student, gamer and shut-in, died on an average day walking home from school, performing the one heroic act of his life. He reawakens in the afterlife, greeted by a beautiful but rude girl named Aqua, who claims to be a goddess that guides the youth whose lives got cut short. Aqua then offers him a choice: to go to heaven, or to get sent to a another world to defeat the Demon King. Of course, Kazuma’s gamer instincts kick in, and he chooses to start a new life in a real-life RPG.

There’s one last choice Kazuma has to make: he is allowed the choice of one thing to take with him to the new world. After puzzling over it, he chooses…Aqua?
