From what has unfortunately been confirmed on the Steam Greenlight page for Key’s upcoming Harmonia visual novel, the game will be delayed until next spring, the reason was listed as “unforeseen circumstances”. The game itself was initially said to be ready before the end of 2015. For those unfamiliar with Steam Greenlight, the following program is meant for developers of games to advertise them, then the community will support the game to decide if the title will be selected for distribution or not. The game will be releasing in English and then in Japanese, the visual novel is also kinetic which means one with no choices or different routes. It is being planned by Kai who worked on Clannad, the music is being scored by Shinji Orito who worked on Air, Clannad and Little Busters and Itaru Hinoue who has previously worked on Air, Clannad and Little Busters will be drawing the original art. Harmonia’s opening theme song titled Todoketai Melody will be sung by Ayaka Kitazawa, the ending theme on the other hand titled Towa no Hoshi e will be sung by Haruka Shimotsuki. Now below is a updated plot summary of the series provided by Visual Arts/Key and quoted from ANN:
This is a story from a very, very distant era. The world has suffered from a great war. The contaminated atmosphere is turning ash gray, life on earth almost came to a stop and water started vanishing. The world population has declined remarkably compared to the Golden age. The people joined together to live in this world. It was in these times, that a “Phiroid”, a robot that can feel, woke up in a decayed facility. The fruit of science before the war, a humanoid, feeling robot. They were promised a new partner, one that could make their life easier But the awakened Phiroid finds out very quickly that he is emotionless.Perhaps he was not finished during the manufacturing process, since his right hand is not covered with artificial skin, his mechanical parts visible. The Phiroid boy wanted to get closer to humans. And continued to wander through this devastated world, looking for the emotions he was missing. One day, he was taken in by a girl. She thinks of him as a human, and is kindly looking after him. A little but warm town. The Phiroid boy began learning what feelings are in living together with the girl.
